Another Spyderco Mule
Team blade - in ZDP-189, this time. Desert
Ironwood scales, black fibre liners and brass fittings. This
unfortunately developed a tension crack between the Spyderhole and the
edge. Not uncommon, apparently, and due to the hardness being too high
- possibly also not surprising given the somewhat experimental nature
of the Mule Team blade project.
Update: The problem was apparently with the "molecular bonding" of the
steel (crystal structure?), not the heat treatment, so no more of these
are being shipped.
Kudos to Spyderco for sorting out warranty claims on what is still an
experimental project - nice people to deal with.
