Working knife...

A working knife - forged from a broken crowbar, inspired from the puukko style.

Originally designed for getting arrows out of trees, hence the short thick blade, beefy handle and flat pommel for hammering on with a hand. I have since re-ground this to a proper scandi zero grind, and it has become my main working knife - tough, sharp, and I won't cry if it gets damaged.

This was also my first attempt at forging, done on a large stump - if Conan's father can do it, how hard can it be?  (Answer: very hard work indeed, as the stump absorbs far too much energy from the hammer blow).

Update - reshaped the handle and slimmed down the blade profile - much nicer to use now.
